Staircase Ventures: Q2 2026 Highlights

We’ve had a busy Q2 at Staircase Ventures and wanted to share some of our favourite milestones, highlights and wins from the team and portfolio: 

Q2 2026 Highlights:

• SiftMed Investment: We proudly announced our investment in SiftMed, based in St. John’s, Newfoundland. SiftMed helps reduce medical claim turnaround and review times by 50–70%, enabling insurance carriers, independent medical experts, legal professionals, and life care planners to organize, review, extract, and generate outputs for every type of medical claim. Unlike its competitors, SiftMed’s solution enables professionals to make the right decisions without requiring humans in the loop to maintain AI accuracy and review every claim. We are excited to partner with Holly and her amazing team as they rapidly scale across Canada and the United States. 

• Adam Meghji and Maggie Mo added as Staircase Advisors: We are proud to welcome Adam Meghji and Maggie Mo to the Staircase Advisor team! Adam is a repeat Co-Founder and CTO who loves building with the latest AI tools, while Maggie has been a driving force behind Clutch’s rapid national expansion and successful fundraising rounds. They bring a wealth of experience, skills, and networks which will help our founders and portfolio companies scale faster and more successfully.

• Introducing Mave Research: Mave has launched Mave Research, which is an agentic AI solution that allows agents to query real estate data conversationally and accomplish tasks in real time, similar to Claude Cowork. Real estate agents can now look up historical sales figures, explore pricing strategies, research market trends, and use this data to create personal marketing collateral, presentations, client-facing materials, and much more. 

• Co-Hosting @ the Calgary Stampede: We focus on creating a tight-knit founder community so they can learn from and support each other, which was on display recently at the Calgary Stampede where Fillip Fleet, Galatea and Ultimarii co-hosted an amazing customer event.  

• MedEssist ATC Launches: MedEssist is rapidly expanding its flagship Access to Care (ATC) program, with Q2 launches in British Columbia and New Jersey, after demonstrating successful customer outcomes in Ontario and the US East Coast. 

• MedEssist and Banting AI selected for the Vector Institute’s HealthSpark program: Vector’s flagship healthcare program has selected MedEssist and Banting AI for its prestigious program, which aims to rapidly connect the best health-tech startups with world-class machine learning experts to turn technology breakthroughs into better patient outcomes. 

• Una AI receives ‘Outstanding’ AI rating from BPM Partners study: In the 2026 BPM Partners “Pulse of Performance Management” research study, Una AI achieved an “Outstanding” overall BPM Pulse Rating of 4.60 (out of 5.00) based on end-user satisfaction. The report specifically highlighted Una AI for its advanced AI capabilities—including Machine Learning, Generative AI, and Agentic AI.

• Rhenti V2 Platform Launch & Growth Milestones: Rhenti has launched its V2 platform with a complete overhaul of its solution with a focus on user simplicity and flexibility, helping it drive its highest-ever quarterly Revenue to date and the signing of flagship clients like Morguard.
