Welcome to Andrew Tiffin, Staircase Ventures’ Operating Partner

January 4, 2026

The Staircase Ventures team is thrilled to announce that Andrew Tiffin has joined  the Firm as Operating Partner. Andrew brings a diverse set of entrepreneurial, operating, and leadership experience that will help our portfolio companies, founders and teams reach their full potential.

Our first priority at Staircase Ventures is to make our existing portfolio companies and founders as successful as possible. Hence, as we launched our second fund and looked to expand the team, our priority was to find someone who would best support our founders and their companies.

As our Operating Partner, Andrew will work with the Staircase Ventures portfolio companies to help them lay the financial, organizational, strategic, and operational foundations for scale and efficient growth. He will be rolling up his sleeves and working with our companies on their priorities, including financial modelling, KPI and organizational design, GTM systems, tooling and sales compensation, growth and pricing strategy, and maximizing their ROI from AI.

Andrew was previously at Shopify where he led the Merchant Services Product Operations team and served as the Chief of Staff to the CRO. Prior to that, he launched Clutch in Toronto and was the GM of RenoRun in Ontario. He also helped to build and scale Uber Eats across North America.

Most importantly, Andrew embraces the Staircase Ventures values of give-first mentality, positive & high energy, and drive & hard work. He is generous with his time and perspectives, collaborative and enthusiastic, and consistently delivers above what is expected. Andrew lives in Toronto with his wife and two young children. He loves the outdoors, playing hockey, hiking, and active travel.
